Boating-licence medical in Portugal: what DGRM asks for
Online assessment for a recreational boating licence, including colour vision, for a first licence or a renewal. It does not file the DGRM application.
A recreational boating licence (skipper or day-skipper) needs a medical certificate for DGRM. At Kliniqa the assessment is by video (about 20 minutes). If fitness is confirmed, the PDF is emailed, signed by a doctor registered with the Portuguese Medical Board.
The consultation covers visual acuity and colour vision, plus conditions that affect safety on the water. It is used for a first licence and for renewal.
The certificate is the clinical step. Registration, exams and filing the application stay with you at DGRM. The doctor does not submit that file.
SNS and a family doctor are not required. Residents of any nationality can be assessed. If vision or a clinical condition is not clear on screen, the doctor may ask for an in-person check before issuing the certificate.
This is not the IMT driving medical (online). They are different licences and different authorities.
